About Us
We are two best friends, and have been so for ten years. We attended the same high school and lived together while attending the same college. We now live 200 miles apart but we still talk every single day and visit whenever we can. Together we have shared many experiences in life; graduations, a friend group, our first apartment, inside jokes, nights out, weddings, funerals, festivals, road trips and more. A big reason we became such good friends so quickly was our shared love for books, in particular fantasy and magical books. Books continue to be one of our favorite aspects of our friendship.
We decided to start this book club together to help each other explore the world of literature, because we often get stuck in our ‘go-to genres’ and sometimes have difficulty truly absorbing all we read. Exploring books together makes things fun and interesting because we’re doing it with a friend. Discussing books is a hobby we share as friends and we can help each other dig deeper into the text. We wanted to share this journey so that others who also struggle with choosing and exploring books can have somewhere to go that is open, ready for discussion, and ready to explore!

“I am a seamstress and theater costume freelancer. I live in Minneapolis, MN with my husband and my corgi, Piper. I have a great love for books, libraries, and book stores. They are safe spaces for me to be who I am and to get away from real life for those brief periods of time that I spend in those worlds. Other than reading I love travelling, listening and playing music, Disney related things, baking, and being creative and crafty.”
