Drag Me Up: Final Thoughts *Spoiler Free*

Now that we have finished reading Drag Me Up by R.M. Virtues and taken the time to let it all *sink in*, we’re going to share our final thoughts on the book as a whole. Our goal is not to review the book, per se, but we will be sharing what we liked and disliked.

Spoiler Free!!! This post is our general opinions about this book, not a professional review, and contains no spoilers for Drag Me Up by R.M. Virtues.

Trigger Warnings!!!This book contains situations and subjects related to: sex, gun violence, and harassment.

Jacilyn: RM Virtues has won me as a fan. I wasn’t sure that I would continue the series when we first began the book, but as I kept reading I found myself wanting more of the characters and the world as a whole. Like we’ve both discussed, we would have liked a bit more here and there, more world building, more character interactions, but as a whole I think this was a great story. My favorite part by far was the healthy communication between romantic and sexual partners. I think I’ll probably check out some of Virtues’ other books as well!

Michaela: I adored this book and the characters. The relationships were so comforting and refreshing, they were what really hooked me. The reimagining of Greek myths was different and fun. I felt like all the characters were powerful in their own right and everyone had their own clear personality that worked with the other characters to show realistic relationships and the fluidity of love. There were spicey moments, stressful moments, happy moments, tearful moments, a little bit of everything in this one. I only wish there had been more of all of that to devour. I will definitely be reading more from R.M. Virtues!
