Final Thoughts:

Jacilyn: From Blood and Ash is my favorite series, and sharing it with Michaela was an absolute joy. For those of you that grew up loving YA romantasy, this book and series as a whole is a great transition into a story that's a bit more mature. There is a good balance between the character development and the lore building, great sexual tension and banter between Poppy and Hawke, and a richly imagined landscape. I can't recommend this book enough!

Michaela: From Blood and Ash was a fun read in an interesting world with an intriguing twist on your classic blood sucking creatures. I enjoyed the chemistry with the main character and her love interest. I also loved seeing a more plus size badass feminine lead character! It's definitely not a perfect read, nor a light read and I heavily suggest looking up content warnings before picking this one up. But I'm excited to read the next book in the series and see where it takes me!
