Final Thoughts:

This book ended up being better than we anticipated. It was the perfect combination of realism and fantasy. The presence of witches and warlocks and demons in the world made sense, and we loved the focus on social issues. That focus on social issues, as well as the addition of this secret magical society's history, and the relationships between the characters, gave this story an immense amount of depth and gave it that realistic feel. There are a lot of characters, so be prepared to remember a lot of names, but it's worth it for the dynamics between characters. Great read for fall!
