Final Thoughts:

We both greatly enjoyed this book. It was the perfect spooky vibes for entering the fall season. The author had some beautiful story telling and imagery throughout the story. The characters and the town felt real even with the fantastical elements and that made us even more invested. The story had twists and turns that made it even more beautiful as a story. A house that is alive, an unlikely found family, just enough spooky elements, a dramatic small town, and a mystery that points you to another world. A perfect recipe for a Shelf Explored favorite fall read.
